About Us

What’s in a name? At Camp Utibaca (Utah Independent Baptist Camp), our name communicates both our heritage and our mission.

Established in 1978 by independent Baptist pastors and missionaries in Utah, Utibaca partners with church leaders and parents to ignite love for God in the hearts of young people in a remote mountain setting. Our beautiful mountain youth camp is located at 8,000 ft. above sea level in the Manti-LaSal range above Ephraim, Utah.

Nestled in this private wilderness retreat you will find a unique, Bible-centered program designed to help campers and staff develop Christlikeness, integrity, maturity and personal accountability. And of course, you will also find plenty of fun activities, outdoor adventures, and a safe environment where young people will be challenged spiritually, physically, and mentally. Personal Bible devotions and chapel times are an important part of each day's schedule.

As part of Utibaca's mission to aid local churches, we make our facilities available for youth retreats, pastors' conferences, and more. Please reach out for more information.

Camp Utibaca is a Baptist Camp and is open to any person regardless of race, sex or religion.

Come create unforgettable memories as we grow in faith together!

Family Camp

Children 7 years old and under are free

July 3-5 Cost: $30/person, up to $120/family Speaker: TBD

Family Camp is designed to be a blessing for families and friends of churches in the Intermountain West region. Fellowship with other Christians and preaching from God's Word creates a refreshing time of spiritual growth and encouragement. Explore our many activities like horsemanship, riflery, and crafts or simply kick back, meet new friends, and catch up with old ones. Children will enjoy plenty of activities designed just for them.

The campground will open at 1 PM on Thursday and close at 1 PM on Saturday. You may come for one, two or all three days. The first meal will be served Thursday evening and the last one at noon on Saturday.

Housing Policy: We encourage families to bring their own housing (a trailer or tent). However, if you are in need of a cabin and fall into one of the following categories, you must register by June 1. Cabins are reserved for elderly, those with special needs, large families of 6+ and families with small children. If you do not have a tent or trailer, we have a few family tents available for use, but they are on a first come first served basis. Be sure to register and let us know your needs. Thank you for your help in this regard. We want to accommodate as many families as possible.
