Family Camp Info

Arrival and Departure: Campers should arrive at Camp between 1:00 and 3:00 PM on Thursday afternoon. Camp will continue until Saturday afternoon at about 1:00 PM at which time the camper's rides should be ready to take them home.

Directions: Take US Hwy 89 to Ephraim. Turn East on 400 South St. Go to 300 East St. and turn right. Follow the road up to Ephraim Canyon. Continue for about 5 mi. then angle right onto Willow Creek Rd. (Rd. 0051). Travel 2 miles past the first cattle guard, and angle right just before the next cattle guard. Follow the road through the field and down the hill to Camp Utibaca.

Housing Policy: We encourage families to bring their own housing (a trailer or tent). However, if you are in need of a cabin and fall into one of the following categories, you must register by June 1. Cabins are reserved for elderly, those with special needs, large families of 6+ and families with small children. If you do not have a tent or trailer, we have a few family tents available for use, but they are on a first come first served basis. Be sure to register and let us know your needs. Thank you for your help in this regard. We want to accommodate as many families as possible.

What to Bring: Spending money (for T-shirts, Canteen and Love Offering for Camp Speaker), sleeping bag, pillow, flashlight, King James Bible, note pad, pen or pencil, towel, toiletries, shower sandals/shoes, sun block, jacket and extra clothing including a jacket.

Meet the Leadership

Director

Sam and Bekah Miller

Sam and Bekah both grew up in pastors’ homes and share a heart for being a servant of Christ through camp ministry. Sam grew up attending camp Utibaca as a camper and then as a staff member. With the exception of two summers spent in other ministries, he has been involved in ministry at Camp Utibaca every year since he was a child.  Bekah began serving at Utibaca in the summer of 2017 where she and Sam met and were married in 2020. In January of 2019, Sam was brought on as Camp Utibaca’s Program and Assistant Director, while Bekah served as his assistant and as the Head Women’s Counselor. In the Fall of 2021, God lead them once again to take a step of faith and serve as the camp’s Director. They share a deep passion and love for Camp Utibaca and the staff.
